What a year...

Time flies! While 2021 was a complicated year for all of us in many ways, it was a busy year for L'Antidote bougies.

At the beginning of June, we set up shop at the Bon Marché Rive Gauche, as part of a major exhibition on the South of France. Just imagine, a corner all to ourselves (run by my lovely niece Noémie !) in the legendary Parisian department stores' until the end of the summer. What an honour and what a source of pride!

In mid-July 2021, we moved the production workshop (until then in my back garden) to the centre of the village of Maussane-les-Alpilles, at number 7 Impasse du mûrier. At last we have a real place to make our candles, a place to store the raw materials and finally a corner of the shop where we can welcome our customers. In just a few days, this old village house with a lot of character was transformed into a lovely cocoon bursting with light and good vibes.

Since this autumn, we've been 3 (myself, Isabelle, Marina) + 1, thanks Mum! We've poured hundreds of candles to meet your orders and for the great brands that have put their trust in us (such as Alyscamps, Fuseaux de Lavande, Baumanière, Les Jolies Planches, Carèle B, etc.). A number of collabs and candle-making workshops were the source of some wonderful encounters.

Christmas was crazy, both in the shop and online. A heartfelt thank you to all those who, by buying from L'Antidote, have chosen craftsmanship and Made in France, and who have contributed with us to the fight against cancer (NB: Every month, L'Antidote donates 5% of sales from the Les Antidotes Spirituels collection to the Institut Gustave Roussy).

On the evening of 31 December, we turned off the machines and closed the shutters in the workshop for a few days. We'll be back in top form on Monday 10 January for new adventures and a wonderful New Year 2022.
